The 3.8 doesn't have the track record the 4.0 has but being a 3.8 owner, it has been bulletproof so far

Ironically, it has a higher tow capacity and payload when. As far as brakes go, they feel better than stock I’ve had to stand on them a couple times on pavement and while it does chirp the fronts momentarily, it doesn’t lock up and it stops just fine.
